## In short

A tag is a label your team chooses — VIP, Wholesale, Call back. Put one on a contact or a conversation, filter any list by it, or select many rows and tag them together. A tag on a contact can start a workflow, count in a scoring rule and pick a campaign's audience. The AI agent does not read tags.

## Tag one

On a contact's page, or in a conversation's side panel, press **Add a tag** (or **Edit tags**), pick one, or type a new name and press Enter. A workspace keeps up to 200 tags, and a row up to 20.

## Tag many at once

1. **Contacts:** tick the rows you want. **Inbox:** press **Select** in the list's header — a ring appears where each avatar is. Click rows to pick them, Shift-click to pick a run, or press **X** on the row the keyboard is on. **Select all shown** picks everything listed.
2. Press **Tag N contacts** (or **Tag N conversations**) and pick a tag to add, or take one off.
3. The toast says what changed: "Tagged 12 conversations with VIP". Rows your role can't see are left alone and counted.
4. In the inbox, press **Done** or Esc to stop selecting.

## Filter by a tag

The contacts list and the inbox each have a tag filter. In the inbox it finds conversations carrying the tag or with a person who does. The filter is part of the page's link, so a saved view keeps it.

## Make tags do things

- **Workflows:** a tag put on or taken off a contact can start a workflow — create a task, assign an owner, move a stage.
- **Scoring rules and workflow conditions:** **Tags** is offered as a condition, with a tag picker.
- **Campaigns:** an audience rule can say who carries a tag. Every message still goes through consent and the channel's rules.

> **Who may do what.** Making, renaming and deleting a tag needs **Manage tags** — sales and marketing managers and administrators have it to begin with. Anyone who can edit contacts may put an existing tag on one; tagging a conversation needs the permission to close it. Deleting a tag takes it off every row, so the dashboard asks first.
