Switching to Linkubit from another WhatsApp tool: what moves, what doesn't, and a one-day plan
Your number moves with its green tick and quality rating, contacts come in by spreadsheet, templates are read from Meta, and the AI is built from your website and documents — or from your old chat transcripts and flow, with our help.
Moving to Linkubit from another WhatsApp tool takes about a day. Your number moves with its green tick and quality rating, contacts come in from a spreadsheet, templates already approved on your WhatsApp Business Account are read in, and the AI salesperson is built from your website and documents. What does not come across is the old tool's message history — export it before you cancel. Send us a handful of your old chat transcripts or a screenshot of your old chatbot flow and we will build the agent and the workflows from them with you.

What comes with you
| Thing | How it moves | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Your WhatsApp number | Connected through Meta's Embedded Signup; a number already on the API with another provider migrates | Minutes |
| Green tick and quality rating | They belong to the number, so they move with it | Automatic |
| Approved templates | If your WhatsApp Business Account stays the same, Sync from Meta reads them in; if the number lands on a new account, resubmit them | Minutes, or Meta's review |
| Contacts, companies, leads | A spreadsheet import with the consent basis recorded; duplicates are matched, not doubled | An hour |
| Products and prices | Entered in the catalogue, with a picture each; the AI quotes from nothing else | An hour for most businesses |
| Your FAQ, brochures, policies | Uploaded as documents the AI answers from | Minutes |
| Your chatbot's flows | Rebuilt as the AI's goals, questions and handover rules — we do this with you from a screenshot | An afternoon |
| Your own Gmail, Google Workspace or Zoho mailbox, connected | Minutes |
What does not
- Message history. Meta does not keep your conversations; your old provider does, and no provider hands them to another. Export what you want to keep before you cancel — and send us a few of those exports, because they are the best material there is for building your agent.
- The old tool's opt-out list. Leave everyone who opted out on the old tool out of the spreadsheet you import, and keep that list. Anyone who replies STOP here is suppressed at once on every channel.
- Scheduled broadcasts. Recreate the ones you still want as campaigns; most businesses find half of them were not worth recreating.
The one-day plan
- Morning: export. From the old tool, export contacts (name, phone, email, tags) and the conversations you want to keep. Screenshot the chatbot flow if you had one.
- Sign up. 14 days of Pro with 25 credits to start, no card; +75 when you connect your WhatsApp number and +100 when you add a card (no charge). Tell onboarding about the business, give it your website, and drop in your price list and FAQ as PDFs or pasted text. It writes the first version of the AI: its persona, the questions it asks, its handover rules, welcome message, scoring and template drafts.
- Connect the number. Embedded Signup moves it from the old provider. Have the two-step verification PIN ready. The number is offline for minutes, not hours.
- Sync templates. Settings › Templates › Sync from Meta. Submit any that did not come across.
- Import contacts, choosing the consent basis that is true of the list — existing customers, people who opted in, or legitimate interest.
- Load the catalogue so every price the AI quotes comes from it.
- Test from your own phone: an enquiry, a price question, a request for a person.
- Cancel the old tool once a day of real conversations has gone through.
Let us build the agent from your old chats
Your old conversations already show how your best salesperson answers: the questions customers ask, the order you ask yours in, the moment you hand over, the objections and the replies that worked. Send us a few exported transcripts — with customers' numbers removed — and a screenshot of your old flow, and we will turn them into the AI's qualifying questions, goals, saved replies and handover rules, and the workflows around them. Get in touch when you sign up.
Do not upload old chats as knowledge
A transcript is a record of what was said, including last year's prices and promises nobody should repeat. Documents uploaded as knowledge are what the AI answers from; old chats belong in building its behaviour, not in its reference shelf.
What is different afterwards
- No flowchart to maintain. The AI follows goals and rules you describe in sentences; a change is a sentence to the agent editor, not a redrawn branch.
- Prices only from the catalogue, checked in code before a reply goes.
- One record per customer across WhatsApp, email, Instagram DM and Messenger.
- Nothing added to Meta's rate. Meta bills your WhatsApp Business Account directly.
Can I move from Wati, AiSensy, Interakt or another provider?
Yes. Any number on the WhatsApp Business Platform can be migrated through Embedded Signup, and contacts come across by spreadsheet. The provider-switch guide has the number side in detail.
Will my customers notice?
No. The number, its name and its green tick stay the same, and the move takes minutes. What they notice is the reply arriving in the first minute.
Do I need to pay before migrating?
No. 14 days of Pro with 25 credits to start, no card; +75 when you connect your WhatsApp number and +100 when you add a card (no charge), then the Free plan unless you subscribe.
Can I bring my chat history into Linkubit?
Old message history is not imported. Export it from the old tool and keep it; send us samples and we will use them to build your agent.
