Best WhatsApp Business API providers in India (2026): BSPs, Tech Providers, and the four things to check before you sign

Who provides the WhatsApp Business API in India, what a BSP and a Tech Provider each are, and a ranked list on the four things that decide the bill: the subscription, whether Meta's rate is marked up, what the AI does, and whether you can leave. Linkubit is the one we make, listed first.

In short

A WhatsApp Business API provider in India is one of two things: a Business Solution Provider that Meta lists as a partner, or a Tech Provider that connects your own WhatsApp Business Account to Meta's Cloud API and gives you the software on top. The API is the same either way and Meta's rates are the same either way; what differs is the subscription, whether the provider adds a mark-up to Meta's per-message price, what the AI actually does, and how easily you can leave. This page ranks the best WhatsApp API providers in India on those four things. Linkubit is the one we make, so it is listed first and held to the same evidence as the rest.

What a "provider" is, and is not

Nobody sells WhatsApp. Meta runs the WhatsApp Business Platform, publishes one price list per country, and bills the WhatsApp Business Account that sends the messages. A provider gives you the software that makes the platform useful — an inbox, templates, campaigns, an assistant, reports — and one of two kinds of access:

  • A Business Solution Provider (BSP) is on Meta's partner list. Historically a BSP hosted the API for you; since Meta's Cloud API it mostly resells access and, at many BSPs, bills you for Meta's messages on its own rate card.
  • A Tech Provider connects your own WhatsApp Business Account to Meta's Cloud API through Embedded Signup. The account, the number, the templates and Meta's invoice stay yours; the provider's fee is for its software.

You will see both called a WhatsApp API service provider, a WhatsApp Business solution provider, a vendor or a Meta partner; the words are used loosely, and every one of them is one of these two kinds.

Both are "official". Both give the same API. The BSP vs Cloud API guide has the technical difference; for choosing, the four questions below matter more than the label.

The four things to check

  1. Do they bill Meta's rate, or their own? Meta's India rate is ₹0.8631 for a marketing template and ₹0.115 for a utility one, before GST. A pricing page that says "additional charges apply for messages" and links a rate card of its own is a mark-up. Over a few thousand messages a month it is often the biggest line on the bill.
  2. What does the subscription include? Users, numbers, and whether the AI is in the plan or an add-on "priced separately".
  3. What does the AI do? A chatbot follows a flow you build; an assistant answers what the customer actually asked, qualifies, quotes a real price and hands over. The difference is the AI agent vs chatbot guide.
  4. Can you leave? With a Tech Provider the number and the account are yours and move with you. With some BSPs the number is registered under the provider and a migration is a project.

Providers compared, on those four things

Figures are from each provider's public pricing page on the date shown, in rupees a month billed monthly, before taxes; the comparison pages carry the full read with sources. Linkubit is ours.

1. Linkubit

Linkubit is the one we make, so read this entry with that in mind. It is a Tech Provider: Embedded Signup connects your own WhatsApp Business Account, Meta bills you directly at its own rate, and Linkubit adds nothing to it. The product is an AI salesperson rather than a chatbot builder — it answers in the first minute, qualifies on the questions you set, quotes only prices from your catalogue, hands over when a rule says so, and can take a UPI payment in the chat. Plans start at ₹0 (30 AI replies, 150 contacts) and ₹499 a month; every plan starts with a 14-day trial of Pro (₹999). Where it is weaker: no TikTok, no voice calling, no Shopify or HubSpot connector today; a team that wants to draw chatbot flows node by node will not find a canvas.

2. Wati

A WhatsApp Business API platform for broadcasts, a shared team inbox and no-code chatbots, with AI agents sold as an add-on. A marketing team that mainly sends broadcasts, wants Shopify and HubSpot connectors out of the box, and has a person to build the chatbot flows. Plans from ₹2,999 a month billed monthly; messages are billed on Wati's own rate card rather than Meta's, and the AI agents are an add-on priced separately. Strengths its own pages show: TikTok and calling channels, Shopify, Salesforce and HubSpot connectors, and high broadcast throughput on the top plan. Full read.

3. AiSensy

A WhatsApp marketing platform on the official API — broadcasts, retargeting, a shared inbox and Click-to-WhatsApp ads — with chatbots and an AI agent sold as add-ons. A marketer who wants to run large WhatsApp broadcasts and Click-to-WhatsApp ads from one screen, with agents added as the team grows. A genuinely free tier — the API on your number and an inbox, no broadcasting — then ₹1,500 a month for broadcasting and a shared inbox. Messages are billed on AiSensy's rate card. Where it fits: a business that mostly broadcasts and wants the cheapest entry to campaigns. Full read.

4. Interakt

A WhatsApp and Instagram marketing and support hub with a separate Sales CRM product, sold by Haptik to Indian D2C brands. An Indian D2C brand on Shopify that wants WhatsApp and Instagram marketing with a Jio-backed provider, and is happy to buy the CRM as a second product. A free Starter plan for Instagram only; WhatsApp from ₹2,799 a month plus taxes, with unlimited agents, and a separate Sales CRM product at ₹2,499. Messages billed on Interakt's rate card. Where it fits: a Shopify or Instagram-first store that wants catalogue templates and unlimited seats. Full read.

Does the provider's city matter?

No. "WhatsApp Business API provider in Mumbai", "in Delhi", "in Bengaluru", "in Chennai", "in Hyderabad" or "in Pune" is a search people type, and the answer is the same in every city: the API is Meta's, hosted by Meta, and reached over the internet. A provider's office in your city gives you a sales visit, not a better connection, a lower rate or a higher messaging limit. What does vary by place is support hours and language — ask whether support answers in the language your team writes in, and when.

How to buy the WhatsApp Business API in India

You do not buy the API itself; you sign up with a provider and connect a WhatsApp Business Account to Meta. With a Tech Provider it takes about fifteen minutes:

  1. Pick the provider on the four things above, and start on its free plan if it has one.
  2. Have a Meta business portfolio (a Facebook Business Manager) — the signup creates one if you have none.
  3. Choose the number. It can be new, or one you use today on the WhatsApp app — delete it from the app first; the chats on the phone do not transfer.
  4. Connect through Embedded Signup inside the provider's product: log in to Facebook, name the WhatsApp Business Account, verify the number by code.
  5. Wait for the display name to be approved, then submit your first templates. Business verification is optional to start and lifts the messaging limit later.

The step-by-step guide has every screen, and API integration with your website or CRM comes after the number is live.

Cheapest, best, and for whom

  • Cheapest to start: a free tier — AiSensy's, Interakt's for Instagram, or Linkubit's ₹0 plan with 30 AI replies a month.
  • Cheapest at volume: whichever provider bills Meta's rate with nothing added; at a few thousand templates a month the mark-up outweighs the subscription. Run your numbers through the cost calculator.
  • For a broadcast-first marketing team: Wati or AiSensy, which are built around campaigns.
  • For a business that wants enquiries answered and closed without a person on the phone: Linkubit, which is built around the salesperson rather than the broadcast.

How this list was made

Each provider's public pricing page was read on the date in the table and the figures were recorded with their source; the comparison pages show every claim and its URL. No provider paid to be here or to be left out. Linkubit is listed first because it is ours; the others are described from their own pages, strengths included.

Who are the WhatsApp Business API providers in India?

Meta's partner list has dozens of BSPs, and any company can be a Tech Provider through Embedded Signup. The ones an Indian small business most often compares are Wati, AiSensy, Interakt, Gallabox, DoubleTick and QuickReply, plus Linkubit. The comparison pages read each one's pricing page, dated.

Which is the best WhatsApp Business API provider in India?

The one that fits how you sell. For broadcast-first marketing, Wati or AiSensy; for enquiries answered, qualified and closed by an AI salesperson, Linkubit, which is the one we make. Whichever you pick, check the four things above: subscription, mark-up on Meta's rate, what the AI does, and whether you can leave.

How do I buy the WhatsApp Business API in India?

Sign up with a provider and connect your own WhatsApp Business Account through Embedded Signup: a Meta business portfolio, a phone number, a display name. With a Tech Provider it takes about fifteen minutes and Meta bills you directly for messages.

Which WhatsApp Business API provider is cheapest in India?

For the subscription, the free tiers — AiSensy's, Interakt's (Instagram), Linkubit's ₹0 plan. For the whole bill, the provider that bills Meta's rate with no mark-up: at volume the per-message line is bigger than the plan.

Is a BSP better than a Tech Provider?

Neither is better; they are the same API. A BSP historically hosted it and often bills messages on its own rate card; a Tech Provider connects your own account and bills for its software. Check who owns the number and who bills the messages.

Do I need a provider in my city?

No. The API is Meta's and is reached over the internet from anywhere. Ask about support language and hours instead.

Can I switch providers later?

With a Tech Provider, yes: the WhatsApp Business Account is yours and the number moves with you; approved templates are resubmitted. With a BSP that registered the number under itself, ask before you sign.

Is Linkubit a BSP?

Linkubit is a Tech Provider: it connects your own WhatsApp Business Account to Meta's Cloud API, Meta bills you directly, and Linkubit adds nothing to Meta's rate.
