Smart nudges on WhatsApp: follow-ups written from the conversation, stopped by a reply
Most leads are not lost, they are left. A customer asks for a price, gets it, goes quiet, and nobody writes again. Linkubit notices the silence, writes a nudge that refers to what was actually said — the model they asked about, the date they mentioned — and sends it on a cadence you set. One reply stops everything and puts the conversation back in front of the assistant or a person.
Smart follow-ups are opt-in and run on a timer you configure: by default a nudge at one, six and twenty-four hours of silence, measured from when the conversation went quiet, and a cold mark at seventy-two. Each message is composed from the conversation, not a template — except on WhatsApp outside the 24-hour window, where an approved template you chose carries it. A reply cancels the cycle; a cold lead is marked so and a person is told.
Not "just checking in"
Written from what was discussed
A nudge that reads "Hi, following up!" earns a block. One that reads "You asked about the 3 BHK on the 12th floor — the site visit slot on Saturday is still open" earns a reply. Every nudge is written from the thread, in the customer's language, and stays inside the rules the assistant already follows.
- A reply on any channel stops the remaining nudges
- The same outbound gate as everything else: consent, suppression, the window

Outside 24 hours, a template carries it
WhatsApp only allows a free-form message inside the day after a customer last wrote. A nudge due after that goes out as an approved template you chose for the purpose; if you chose none, it waits rather than failing. Email has no window and gets the written message.
- You find out about the window before the send, not after Meta refuses it
- The template is picked once, in settings, and synced from Meta

The rest of it
Cold is a decision, and a person is told
After the last nudge draws nothing, the lead is marked cold, the reason is written on it, and the owner sees it in their queue. Cold is not deleted — a customer who writes back three weeks later is picked up where they left off.
Campaign sequences stop the same way
A follow-up step in a WhatsApp or email campaign is cancelled for anyone who replies, on any channel. Nobody gets the third message after they already said yes.
A next best action for every open deal
For a deal that is waiting on your team rather than the customer, the assistant suggests the move — ask the missing question, answer the objection, schedule the call — as a task for a person, never done silently.
Off until you switch it on
A feature that sends on a timer is opt-in. Turning it on applies to conversations that go quiet from then on, never to the backlog.
What it is made of
Follow-ups written from the real conversation
At 1 hour, 6 hours and 24 hours it sends a nudge written from what was discussed — not “just checking in!”. A reply at any point stops the rest.
Sequences stop on reply
A reply stops the remaining steps, opens a conversation and starts qualification. Nobody gets step three after they already said yes.
The 24-hour window, before you type
WhatsApp only allows a free-form reply inside the day after a customer writes. Outside it the composer offers your approved templates and nothing else — you find out before you type, not after Meta rejects the send.
Tasks, meetings and the next best action
Follow-ups the assistant creates for you, meetings with outcomes, and for every open deal a suggested next move — ask the missing question, answer the objection, schedule, escalate. Surfaced for a person, not done silently.
Questions people ask
How is this different from a drip campaign?
A drip is the same message to everyone on a schedule. A smart follow-up is written per conversation, from what that customer said, and only when they have gone quiet after you spoke last. The two share one rule: a reply stops the rest.
Can I change the timing?
Yes. The intervals and the cold mark are settings — minutes underneath, so you can trial a five-minute cycle on your own number before running the defaults on customers.
Will it nudge someone who unsubscribed?
No. Every nudge goes through the same outbound gate as a campaign message or the assistant's reply: a person who said STOP, who was suppressed, or who is blocked is never reached.
What does a nudge cost?
One credit, like any other message the assistant writes. A template sent outside the WhatsApp window is billed by Meta at its own rate, with nothing added.
