Opt-out (STOP)
Definition
An opt-out is the customer saying stop — 'STOP', 'unsubscribe', 'बंद करो', or a tap on an opt-out button — after which a business may not send them marketing. A good tool records it in any language, applies it before every send, and keeps the record even if the contact is deleted.

What a tool should do
- Recognise the word in every language its customers write in, not only English.
- Stop marketing immediately; keep answering questions the customer asks.
- Keep the opt-out as a hashed record that survives erasure, so a re-import cannot undo it.
Why it protects you
A customer who cannot find the way out taps 'block' or 'report' instead, and those are what move the quality rating.
