Embedded Signup

Definition

Embedded Signup is Meta's pop-up flow that connects a business's WhatsApp number to a software tool: you log in to Facebook, pick or create a business portfolio and a WhatsApp account, verify the number by SMS or call, and the tool receives permission to send and receive on it.

  2. What it does not do

What happens inside the pop-up

  • You sign in to the Facebook account that manages the business.
  • You choose an existing WhatsApp Business Account or create one, and give the business name and website.
  • You add a phone number — one not already on WhatsApp — and confirm the code Meta sends.
  • The tool is granted access to that account and nothing else.

What it does not do

It does not verify your business (that is Business Verification, done separately in Business Manager), it does not make the number ready to send until the tool registers it, and it does not need a Solution Partner badge — any tool with an approved Meta app can offer it.
