WhatsApp quality rating and messaging limits (2026): tiers and how to go up
Meta's 2026 messaging limits — 250, 2,000, 10,000, 100,000, unlimited a day, shared across your portfolio — and how quality rating moves you between them.
Meta limits how many people you can message first (outside a customer's 24-hour window) in a moving 24 hours: 250, then 2,000, 10,000, 100,000 and unlimited. Since October 2025 the limit is shared by every number in your business portfolio. Verify your business to reach 2,000; after that it rises on its own when you use over half your limit with high-quality messages.
The tiers
| Tier | People you can message first in 24 hours |
|---|---|
| Start | 250 |
| 1 | 2,000 |
| 2 | 10,000 |
| 3 | 100,000 |
| 4 | Unlimited |
Replies inside a customer's 24-hour window don't count — only conversations you start. The limit belongs to the business portfolio, so a second number does not double it.
Going up
- To 2,000: verify your business (how), or send 2,000 delivered messages to different people outside service windows within 30 days with high-quality templates.
- Beyond: automatic, within about six hours, when you have used more than half your limit in the last seven days and your quality is high.
Quality rating
Meta grades the last seven days of customer feedback — blocks and reports, with reasons like "Didn't sign up" or "Spam": High (green), Medium (yellow), Low (red). Low quality stops your limit growing and can lead to restrictions. Message only people who opted in, make every template useful, and honour opt-outs at once.
Where to see both
In Linkubit, Settings › WhatsApp › Account health shows Quality rating and Daily limit; press Check now to refresh. In WhatsApp Manager: Phone numbers for quality, Account tools › Messaging limits for the limit. When a campaign reaches it, members show "waiting on the number" and resume on their own. (Meta: limits and quality)
